KABUL, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- A three-day exhibition featuring a wide array of industrial and cultural products opened on Monday in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, according to the General Directorate of State-Owned Corporations.

The exhibition serves as a key platform for presenting and promoting products that represent the country's industrial capabilities and cultural heritage, the organization said in a statement.

It provides an opportunity for producers to showcase the diversity of domestic goods and to facilitate connections between manufacturers, traders, and potential markets, it added.

This event is part of a broader series of trade initiatives in the Afghan capital. Just two weeks prior, a week-long industrial and commercial exhibition was launched in Kabul, featuring more than 800 booths where national and international entrepreneurs are displaying their products, including 200 stalls operated by women.

The Afghan government has been actively supporting and organizing such domestic product exhibitions across the poverty-stricken country as part of its efforts to bolster local industries, enhance production capacity, and reduce reliance on imports.
