AustCham South China hosted the 2025 AustCham Gala Ball & Spirit of Australia Business Awards in Guangzhou on November 22, celebrating companies and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to Australia-China commercial ties over the past year.
The annual gala, one of the chamber’s flagship events, brought together business leaders, diplomats, and community representatives for a festive evening.
Award recipients were recognized across several categories, honoring excellence in areas such as sustainability, corporate leadership, community impact, and innovation.
A parallel exhibition titled “Hear Our Story: China-Australia Historical Connections,” co-organized with the Australian Consulate-General in Guangzhou, ran alongside the gala. The exhibition recalled early links between the two countries, including the journeys of 19th-century Chinese migrants who helped shape Australia’s communities and early economic development.
