The reporter learned from Guangzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau that the 2020 Guangdong 21st Century Maritime Silk Road International Expo, hosted by Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Guangdong Committee, Guangzhou Municipal Government, will be held at Exhibition Hall B, China Import and Export Fair. Meanwhile, the 2020 Maritime Silk Road Themed Forum will be held at Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center on the afternoon of September 24th.
With the theme of“high-level opening-up,high-guality devel opment", the 2020 Guangdong 21st Century Maritime Silk Road International Expo is an important supporting platform and a business card to promote the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Pan-Pearl River Delta cooperation under the “Belt and Road Initiative”. This year, the expo will continue the mode of “one fair and one expo”, and invite business associations and enterprises from various countries and regions, as well as Pan-Pearl River Delta Region, to participate in the expo and further consolidate Guangdong’s status of a trading and cooperation platform.
This year’s expo will mainly be composed of comprehensive exhibition hall and professional exhibition hall, of which, the comprehensive exhibition hall is further divided into hall for international brands and hall for international tourism. Among them, the hall for international brands is to mainly showcase the styles and achievements of foreign companies in the reform and opening up and the world-renowned products, technologies and services of Top 500 companies and industry leaders. And the hall for international cultural tourism is to mainly showcase the internationalization of the expo, to promote the cultural and tourism cooperation amongst countries and regions along the “Belt and Road Initiative”, and to showcase the customs, special cultural and tourism products and resources of countries and regions along the “Belt and Road Initiative”.
Meanwhile, the Maritime Silk Road International Expo also has three professional exhibition halls, namely, the International Life Science Industry Exhibition Hall, International Agricultural Products Exhibition Hall and Marine Economy Exhibition Hall. Among them, the International Life Science Industry Exhibition Hall is to mainly showcase the cooperation results of the international epidemic prevention and control, as well as the creation, high-end manufactures and applications in biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, smart medicine, artificial intelligence, genomics, cell therapy, microbes, micro-ecology and Chinese traditional medicine.
The International Agricultural Products Exhibition Hall is to mainly showcase the whole international fruit industry, including fresh fruits, fruit products and fruit processing and packaging equipment. The China International (Guangzhou) Fishery & Seafood Expo is to mainly showcase the industry chains like fish/aquatic products, deep processed products and cold chain equipment.
